BRT6 Outreach Clinic · Sprinter 170

Commercial outreach

The BRT6 Outreach Clinic is a mobile outreach and community clinic built on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 170 by 2Pines Upfitters in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, for Battle River Treaty Six, a Saskatchewan health organization. Inside is a padded clinic bench over latching drawer banks, a counter with a sink and onboard water, belted crew seating, and a Goal Zero power station, so a visiting health team can park, open the doors, and start seeing people.

The Story

Battle River Treaty Six is a health organization based in Saskatchewan. A fixed clinic only helps the people who can get to it, and their team wanted to flip that around and bring the clinic to the community instead. That meant one vehicle a small health team could drive, work out of, and pack up the same day, without towing anything or renting space when they arrive.

We built the interior like a small clinic that happens to drive. A padded bench top runs over banks of drawers on full-extension slides, all with latching hardware so nothing shifts in transit. There is a counter with a sink and onboard fresh and grey water, a compressor fridge, and a work table at the swivel cab seats for paperwork and consults. A folding crew bench with seat belts rides on a removable EZ Mount base, so the same van can carry staff one day and run with open floor space the next.

Power for the equipment comes from a Goal Zero power station in its own cabinet bay, with outlets at the counter, LED lighting overhead and along the floor, a rooftop air conditioner, and an insulated partition for the rear doors when the weather turns. All of it was built by hand in our Prince Albert shop, with white laminate surfaces that wipe down fast and exposed Baltic birch edges instead of the banding that chips off the first time a cart catches a corner.
