The Story

The owners spent years moving around the globe for work in different medical fields. Somewhere along the way they decided the next home base would not be a house. The plan: live in the van full time, take contracts in different cities, and move every couple of years without packing a single box. That brief shaped everything about Ganesha, because this van is not a weekend toy. It's the house.

Full-time in Whitehorse means the systems had to carry the load. A 600Ah heated Victron lithium bank with a Multiplus 3000 inverter runs the home side, charged three ways: 30 amp shore power, rooftop solar panels, and a Nations 280 amp secondary alternator with a Wakespeed regulator that refills the bank fast while driving. Heat and hot water come from an Espar hydronic system with cabin heat distribution, a 35 gallon fresh tank, instant hot water, and a Rixen engine heating kit that preheats the glycol loop with engine heat on travel days. The grey tank is heated, the lines live inside the insulated cabin, and there's a winterization quick connect for the deep cold.

The layout is built around two people actually living in it: a 76 inch platform bed at 36 inches height so the bikes ride underneath, a Tetravan folding shower flush-mounted into the cabinetry, an OGO compost toilet, a Novakool 207L fridge freezer, and a Webasto X100 diesel cooktop so there's no propane on board. Outside, a Backland Expedition Gear G.O.A.T. Series rear bumper with tire carrier, IBEX ladder, OX rear storage box, and INDY protective coating handle the gravel roads, with Van Compass Stage 4.3 suspension tuned to the van's loaded weight underneath.
