Nipissing County · Mobile Command Center
Commercial
The Nipissing County Command Center is a mobile command and outreach vehicle built by 2Pines Upfitters in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan for Nipissing County. It's a clean, self-sufficient workspace on wheels — off-grid battery power, four-season heat, crew seating and work stations, a galley with running water, and an onboard washroom — built to roll into a remote site with no power and get a crew working, even in the dead of a Canadian winter.
The Story
Nipissing County needed a vehicle that could bring their people and their work out to the community — into places where there's no building to work out of, no plug to power up, and a real northern winter to contend with. So we built them a command center on a van platform: everything a crew needs to set up and operate, carried onboard and ready the moment the doors open.
Step inside and it reads like a small, organized office. Dual swivel captain's seats and a bench with a fold-down table give the crew a place to meet and work, while built-in desks and mounted screens turn the back into a command station. A galley with a stainless sink and running water, generous closed storage, and an onboard washroom mean a shift doesn't depend on what's nearby. White surfaces and hard-wearing finishes keep it clean and clinical, and an off-grid battery bank with inverter power plus four-season heat keep it all running — off-grid and in the cold — for as long as the day demands.
A command vehicle for a county, a mobile clinic, an outreach van, a fleet upfit — the thinking is the same every time: power, heat, water, and finishes that survive real use, planned as one system that works where there's nothing to plug into. If you run a municipal or commercial fleet and you're wondering whether your idea fits in a van, this one is a good place to start.
