SHA Outreach Clinic · Transit 148 EXT
Commercial outreach
The SHA Outreach Clinic is a mobile community health clinic built by 2Pines Upfitters in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, for the Saskatchewan Health Authority on a Ford Transit 148 EXT. It carries an exam chair, clinic work counters, secure supply storage, and its own onboard power, so outreach teams can bring community health services directly to people instead of waiting for those people to find their way to a building.
The Story
The Saskatchewan Health Authority delivers health care across the province, and a lot of that province is a long drive from the nearest clinic. Their community outreach teams work with people who can't always make it to an appointment, whether the barrier is distance, transportation, or circumstance. The fix was straightforward: if the patient can't get to the clinic, the clinic should be able to come to the patient.
We built that clinic into a Ford Transit 148 EXT. Inside there's an adjustable exam chair, laminate work counters, and a wall of latched Baltic birch cabinetry that keeps supplies organized and put away while the van is moving. A dedicated sharps cabinet handles the disposal side, the battery power system lives in its own cabinet so the clinic runs without an extension cord, and the commercial rubber floor mops clean at the end of the day. Park, open the doors, and it's a working exam room.
For the communities on the route, the van means health services show up where people already are, whether that's a community hall, a parking lot, or a main street. For the outreach team, it means a clean, warm, well-lit workspace that's set up the same way every day no matter where it's parked. If your organization is looking at a mobile clinic of its own, this is the kind of build we do. Start the conversation on our commercial page.
