Alberta gives a camper van a lot to do. Mountains one weekend, prairie the next, gravel logging roads to a quiet spot, and winters that do not mess around. A van built for a mild coast is not the same van you want when it is minus thirty at a trailhead.

2Pines designs and builds custom camper vans at our shop in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, and we work with Edmonton, Calgary and Alberta clients through vehicle selection, CAD design, manufacturing and delivery planning. We do not have an Alberta storefront. What we have is a build process that travels well and systems designed to be serviced from anywhere.

How you travel

The trip drives the build

The first conversation is about how you actually travel. Are you chasing ski hills and climbing crags, or hauling family and gear to the lake? How many people sleep in it? How far off pavement do you want to get, and how cold does it need to work? Those answers drive the layout, the suspension, the power and the heat, in that order.

Alberta clients tend to care about two things we already build for: real off-grid capability and four-season performance. We size Victron power around the loads you actually run, protect the plumbing and water system for cold nights, and run Espar diesel heat so the van is usable long after the campground closes for the year. We would rather spend your budget on the systems that make a bad-weather day comfortable than on an oversized roof rack that just looks the part.

Same standards

Custom or spec, the standards do not change

Whether you want a fully custom interior or a spec layout as a starting point, the materials and the standards are the same. A simpler build has fewer components. It does not have cheaper workmanship hidden behind the panels.

Yes. We build at our Prince Albert shop and work with Edmonton, Calgary and Alberta clients through vehicle selection, remote design reviews, CAD planning, manufacturing and delivery. The systems are designed to be serviced from anywhere.

Do you build four-season vans that handle real Alberta winters?

Yes. We design insulation, Espar diesel heat, ventilation, protected plumbing and Victron power as one system, sized to how cold you plan to travel and whether you need running water below freezing.

What vans do you build on?

We build on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter (144 and 170 wheelbase) and the Ford Transit. We match the platform to your trip, your gear and how far off pavement you want to get.

Can you build for mountains and off-grid use?

Yes. Off-grid capability and four-season performance are core to how we build. We size power and water around your real loads and plan storage and protection for gravel roads and backcountry trailheads.
